Mijo proved you really can have the best of both worlds when the strategic brand agency teamed up with Juan Por Dios to revamp the entrepreneur's Puerto Vallarta, Mexico-based Living Salon.
Mijo listened to Por Dios's idea to relocate and expand his hugely successful Living Salon and heard a man who wanted to straddle both the traditional and contemporary worlds. So together they re-imagined a space that combines the intimacy of old-style barbershops with the amenities, comfort and decadence of modern day lounges. Throw in modern design tinged by global influences and Living Salon is one of the most exciting spaces in a resort town filled with cutting-edge concepts.
“It's exciting to be part of an organization beginning”, said Daniel Gomez, a partner and brand strategist at Mijo.
“While Living is well established, its new direction and focus posed some interesting challenges for the brand”.
Living Salon, which specializes in luxury health and beauty treatments, has grown rapidly in the years since its 2004 debut. It recently relocated to its new flagship locale on one of Puerto Vallarta's main shopping streets in the historic El Centro district.
The company is currently in talks to franchise its concept and as part of the expansion and relocation Mijo worked with Living Salon to lay the foundation for national growth.
