Although travel has become one of the most exciting activities in the world, it is difficult to completely share the experience despite having various web tools and social networks at our fingertips. Maptia now meets this need with an interactive map featuring our travel stories in an organized and complete manner.
The online platform gives us the opportunity to tell our travel tales in a creative and inspiring way. Its aim is to allow people to share their adventures through detailed images with colorful designs, computer graphics, high-quality images, interesting fonts and professional text.
Maptia makes each story a magnificent piece of art recreating the emotions of each journey. For example, if a user posts a photo of a natural landscape from any destination in the world with its description and location, another user could easily visit same site using the interactive map.
This project has been selected as the “Enterprise of the Week” by Wired England Magazine and has also received the support of the Techstars program which helps speed the incubation process of innovative technology-related projects.
Finally, the next logical step for Maptia will be launching a mobile application so users can share experiences in real time.
