It has been a busy two years since Mijo Brand Strategy and Design uprooted from London, England seeking sunnier shores and relocated to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Since that time we have witnessed the world economy shudder and virtually collapse, the change of heads-of-state of many leading nations, an increasing sense of urgency for action on global climate change and an overwhelming desire to create a more civil society on every level.
To celebrate our two years in Mexico, we launch our new brand strategy and identity this week on this website. The many months spent toiling over; contemplating and debating our new brand design have finally come to an end.
The new Mijo! Brands simply conveys who we are and what we aspire to: a return to honest brand communications, design imbued with meaning and an organizational culture that is at once collaborative, optimistic and curious.
Over the years, we have guided and supported a vast array of clients from all industries through the grueling task of pinpointing then communicating the core idea of who they are and what they stand for the brand values.
We now, more than ever, understand how challenging this process can be. The strategies, identities, logos, communications and web campaigns that we design are the end result of a very meticulous and personal process that begins with the simple questions who are you and what do you want to represent as an organization?
To this end, over the past 24 months, we have helped BFN transform into SQ Wellness (New York); created a new brand strategy and design for TPI (California), one of the world's leading vacation and time-share companies.
We have channeled the ambitions of a group of recruitment experts to launch Maven Partners (UK); we've helped a little coffee company, A Page in The Sun (Mexico), reassert its local heritage as the Starbucks conglomerate bulldozed into town.
We breathed new life into Living Salon (Mexico); and helped Zoteck (Vancouver) develop a new strategy and menu of services for BC's restaurant sector; we worked with the Best Western Hotel chain (Vancouver) to create a modern and accessible restaurant brand with an edge; and helped La Fabrica (Spain) to revel in all its architectural glory.
We are excited that the coming months look to be equally challenging for Mijo! Brands as we'll be working with an exciting plethora of companies large and small around the globe.
Perhaps 2 of the most notable are SQ Foundation – the non-profit that builds schools and orphanages in India we're helping them communicate the importance of continued philanthropy during this economic crisis through a redeveloped brand strategy and design. And finally, we're teaming up with the Banderasnews.com team to reposition and redesign one of Mexico's largest news portals to prepare it for national expansion.
