To celebrate its 120th anniversary, the Cerveza Indio brewing company launched a contest called “Indio Etiquetas 120 Tribus” which seeks to promote talented Mexican graphic designers and artists.
The contest is based on illustrating some of the subcultures like beatnicks, hipsters, emos and more seen during Cerveza Indio’s 120 years, between 1893 and 2013, on labels like those used on Cerveza Indio bottles. The only limitation is your own imagination.
To participate, visit http://www.indio.com.mx/etiquetas, log in, review the rules and download the template to start building your design. Once it’s ready, submit it using the same website. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, February 28th, 2013.
The prize? Cerveza Indio will announce 250 finalists, of which 120 will be winners. Winners will enjoy knowing that their design with be shown throughout Mexico on the bottles, they will be invited to an exhibition of all of the winning designs and… Drum roll, please… A year’s supply of Cerveza Indio.
Mexico is a country built on talent, creativity and energy so get inspired by your urban tribe and let your imagine go!
