“Going viral”… we all know it, we all want it, but how do we get it for our social media content? It may seem mysterious… although baby pandas doing pretty much anything is always a good bet… but if you don’t have a panda-centric business, there are still things you can do to increase your chances of creating viral content. • Feel-good content always wins out over negative content, so keep it on the positive tip.

• Content that is emotionally evocative is more likely to go viral. If users have an immediate emotional response to your post, they are more likely to share it.

• Everybody loves a tip. Everyday tips that turn basic tasks on their head… open a wine bottle with a shoe? Who doesn’t want to give that a try?… are among the most popular items that people share with their friends.

Will you knock it out of the park every time keeping these guidelines in mind? Probably not. But will working on consistently creating content that emotionally connects with your followers greatly increase your chances of seeing your posts go viral? Absolutely!
