Although 20 years have passed since the emergence of the Internet, we can say now with certainty that the digital consumer has been born. For example, according to the ONTSI B2C study published in 2012, 82% of consumers use the Internet to gain information before making a purchase on and offline.

You can also notice certain trends with digital consumers and Mijo! Brands presents some below:

• Brand ConfidenceWith web purchases the one factor that most influences consumers is brand confidence. Because of this, consumers are becoming more selective.

• Custom OffersThe consumer finds value in their favorite brands understanding their taste. This is a factor that companies should take advantage of by finding the balance between privacy and leveraging databases to provide a more personalized experience for the user.

• Multi-device Today, almost 50% of digital consumers make their purchases via smartphones or tablets. This figure is very impressive and it is important to have technology that allows for a good shopping experience across a wide range of electronic devices.

• Social NetworkingThe average consumer likes to be able to have dialogue with a brand through social media. According to a study by the PwC in 2013, 59% of respondents knew a new brand through social media and 50% of total purchases are made via this route.

If you want a strong company and to attract this important customer base, you should consider these trends in your e-business as the buyer of our era has become a demanding and knowledgeable digital consumer.
