For a long time, Apple has been saying they would update the Mac Pro (their most powerful desktop computer) and what they showcased at the WWDC 2013 is a huge improvement over the model we knew, capable of accommodating 12 cores and supporting 4K monitors.

The Mac Pro has always been known for its power and its ability to be used both as a server to design advanced applications or videos. And now, user needs will be met with plenty of exciting new technical specs with the new Mac Pro, like the following features:

• Thunderbolt 2 (3 port transfer handling up to 20 Gbps) • 4 USB 3.0 • 2 AMD FirePro graphics cards (dual GPU) to provide a processing capacity of 7 teraflops • Support for up to three 4K monitors   • Supports up to 12 cores (Intel Xeon E5) • PCIe based flash storage • Max height of 25.15 cm

According to data released by Apple, the Mac Pro is 2.5 times faster than the previous version and offers 10 times faster access to data.

These technical specifications exceed those of many servers in a data center and differentiating it even more; the new Mac Pro will be assembled in the United States.

What do you think the Mac Pro? Sounds like a machine out of sci-fi movie, right?
