Peña Nieto First Promotional Spots

By Jorge Chávez

December 07, 2012

During his first week as President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto and the Federal Government have launched two promotional spots both 60 seconds in duration.

These ads contain a common message about Mexico’s potential to achieve various goals and achievements through determination.

The spots are titled “Impulse” and “We Can” and began running nationally on radio, television and the official YouTube channel of the President of Mexico in December 2012.

In “Impulse”, the spot depicts several people running symbolically with the spirit to “move Mexico” as they run through some of the great achievements of Mexican culture: Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Monument to the Mexican Revolution, the commuter rail station and the Casa de los Azulejos.

The spot “We Can”, contrasts negative examples against the good results that can be achieved if Mexico works as one to move forward and to succeed.

Interestingly, the title of this latest announcement is very similar to the phrase “Yes we can”, used by Barack Obama during his 2008 election campaign.

Currently, the Federal Government YouTube channel  has 15,672 subscribers, while the Peña Nieto channel has 11,080.
