eBay has redesigned is website taking as inspiration social networks and will now offer the users more personalized suggestions, giving emphasis to shopping through mobile devices.
Basically, this design is a combination of three social networks. The term “newsfeed” may remind us of the network created by Mark Zuckerberg, the abundance of photos is similar to Pinterest and the sellers will be able to link their pages to Facebook or include videos from YouTube.
“These changes reflect more the new eBay and our evolution to a market that connects the world to the things they love and need at any time in any place” declared Devin Wenig, President of eBay.
“The future of the commerce is mobile. Each time it becomes more multichannel, via every connected screen. The users want to move without any problem between mobile devices in any shopping environment.”
The novelties have already been introduced in the US and will expand through the rest of the world starting next year. eBay has also recently redesigned its logo.
