Each year, Great Place to Work® in conjunction with World Executive Group presents the ranking of the 100 Best Companies to Work® in Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit boast some of the 100 Best Companies to Work®: Starbucks, Infonavit, Movistar, Four Seasons, Monex Grupo Financiero, Mayan Resorts Vallarta, Blockbuster, Seguros Bancomer, Bancomer and Afore y  Pensiones .

The process of analysis, evaluation and certification is the most important and comprehensive in the world and this ranking is the result of rigorous research conducted among employees and in corporate culture.

Benefits obtained by the firms are an important consideration in the ranking.  For example, Jorge Ferrari, President of Great Place to Work® Institute Mexico, Central America and Caribbean, highlights the fact that more and more companies who are interested in becoming a good place to work are investing in their employees, and the benefits are not only seen by the employees but also by the company, customers and benefits to the economy.

In a good place to work, the way employees are treated adds significant competitive advantages to the company. Studies conducted around the world by the Great Place to Work® Institute, confirmed the following benefits:

• Applications that are received for available positions are of higher quality and more assertive. • Staff turnover is decreased. • A reduction in costs because of benefits. • Higher level of customer satisfaction and loyalty. • Greater motivation, innovation and creativity on the part of employees. • Increased productivity and profits.

Since 1980, the Great Place to Work® Institute has listened to employees and evaluated their employers to understand what makes a great place to work, and a large factor is unquestionable trust between managers and employees.

But beyond the recognition granted, being part of this select group of companies is the result of hard work and a joint effort to create a healthy, harmonious working environment with a high level of trust.

There is an unwritten rule that always applies well in business:” Happy employees equal happy customers.”
