From some time now, Puerto Vallarta as world class tourist destination has been undergoing a series of changes to the city and as the brand itself, becoming more appealing both for residents and tourists, and for those who visit the official Puerto Vallarta website.

The Puerto Vallarta brand changes began during the Mexico Tourism Tianguis 2012, when Vertice Comunicacion, with support from SETUJAL revealed the new logo, slogan and the official video with which they had been tasked with conveying the complex nature of Puerto Vallarta.

Now as part of the May Cultural Festival and the Restaurant Week and after several months of planning, design, programming and implementation, Mijo! Brands has unveiled a restructuring of the Home page and the main sections of the official website of Puerto Vallarta (www.visitpuertovallarta.com) in order to create a more user-friendly navigation.

Of note is the main slideshow which contains four rotating striking images that redirect to the main sections of the website, replacing the previous background images which could not be fully appreciated. In major section displays a banner with images related to it.

As part of the strategy Mijo! Brands, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board and the Convention and Visitors Bureau designed to attract more visitors to the destination, a “Booking” (search or reservation system) section was optimized to allow visitors to search and book hotels easily through Travelocity.com and BestDay.com sites.

The banner ads also changed position on the Home page to make them more visible, attractive and accessible to users. The main video of Social Media section (located within the Home), has increased content size for a better experience.

Further restructuring of the official website of Puerto Vallarta can be best experienced with Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox and Safari, while in Internet Explorer, the main slideshow will be displayed differently due to the compatibility between the plug-ins.
