LinkedIn, the global social network of professionals, is once again revolutionizing the recruitment industry by announcing the launch of Talent Pipeline, a powerful tool to help headhunters find talent more quickly and effectively.
This new tool will be available the first half of 2012 and has been designed to manage potential candidates, as it has been recognized that the best professionals are those already employed and successful in their current jobs. Talent Pipeline will give companies the opportunity to manage these talents and capture them at the right time.
According to LinkedIn, this tool is especially useful for locating 'passive' candidates, specifically those who have not directly applied for a job but are an important source of talent. It will additionally give headhunters the opportunity to interact and maintain contact with these professionals.
The Direct Marketing portal reported that this switch to passive talent allows headhunters to have access to a much larger group of possible candidates with the skills and experience needed for a particular job. Talent Pipeline allows recruiters to track potential candidates on a single platform, even though they have not conducted a formal application process.
It will be interesting to see the response from other providers of online recruitment solutions, as LinkedIn with this new platform has positioned itself as a leader again by transforming the recruitment industry.
