Google develops YouTube Kids

Like most parents, we love helping our kids learn more about what interests them. It is a very popular activity for parents and children to spend time watching videos or listening to music on YouTube. However, it is important that there are certain measures to filter content suitable for toddlers.

We introduce YouTube Kids, Google's first product built exclusively for the little ones. The application makes it safer and easier for children to find videos on topics they want to explore and is available for free from Google Play and the App Store.

Bright and playful DesignThe design of the app makes it even easier to find Pocoyó or the latest episode of Sesame Street. Larger images and bold icons make this application a quick and easy tool to use. In addition, children who cannot spell or write can do a voice search and still find videos of things that entertain them.

Family Content For years, families have spent countless hours watching YouTube videos on any number of subjects. Now, parents can rest a little easier knowing that the videos on YouTube Kids has reduced to only appropriate content for children. They can surf the channels and playlists from four categories: Entertainment, Music, Learning and Browse, or search videos of interest to the family, math tutorials and much more.

Parental Control • Timer The application has a timer that limits the time children use the program and tells them when their session is over, so you no longer have to be the bad guy.

• Sound Settings Sometimes you need a little peace and quiet. You have an option to disable the background music and sound effects, so your children can keep watching while you take a break.

• Search settings If you prefer to limit your children to viewing only preselected videos, these can be available on the home screen, and you can disable this category.

• Product Feedback The aim is to improve YouTube Kids constantly, so a space is included for you to leave your comments.
