Mijo! Brands enters into the world of Apps

Mijo! Brands, the marketing, communications and brand positioning agency, has developed the “Official City Guide for Puerto Vallarta”, the official APP of the tourist destination.

As part of the strategy implemented to create a portable guide for area visitors, the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Puerto Vallarta approached Mijo! to develop the “Official City Guide of Puerto Vallarta”, an App that contains sections on events, entertainment, nightlife and culture.  The directory service includes more than 300 businesses encompassing hotels, restaurants and tours.

This is Mijo! Brands first app development, marking their move into the mobile market.

This official guide provides insight into where to go, what to eat and what to do in Puerto Vallarta.  The “Official City Guide for Puerto Vallarta” includes:

• Directory of Services in Puerto Vallarta • Static City Maps • Events and Entertainment Calendar • Helpful hints and Important Numbers • History, Cultural Traditions and Attractions

The version for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad was launched on November 15, 2011, uses 1.4MB and requires iOS 4.3 or later.  The Android version was released on November 22, 2011, uses 245KB and requires a 2.2 or later system.  An upcoming launch for BlackBerry will soon be announced.

Plans to incorporate movie listings, dynamic maps and social networks for sharing photos, comments, reviews and check-ins will be implemented in the near future.
